Last Friday, a group of 100 rugby fans got together to talk rugby over a lovely lunch at Balls Brothers, hosted by Under The Posts, listen to anecdotes by three rugby legends, Simon Shaw MBE, George Chuter, and Neil Back MBE, but most importantly raise funds for VI Rugby.
The event was hosted by Alex Bassan, with Dean Lamb and Dan Lineker representing the charity brilliantly as our VI Rugby coaches. VI Rugby has been a hugely successful programme, with fundraising events like these allowing our team to continue to deliver ground-breaking work and advance the sport of VI Rugby to facilitate further participation. We are yet to get a final total of funds raised but I’m sure the event was a great success, especially with the new connections with guests we formed.
The event had a very friendly environment, and it was lovely talking to guests who had never heard of The Change Foundation, let alone VI Rugby! It would be an understatement to say they were impressed. A massive thank you has to go out to our Ambassador Luke Littlewood, who played a large part in bringing together this great group of people, of whom we hope to become friends of the charity for years to come.
