Last week with our Street Elite programme we ran a few sessions with our partner and funder of the Street Elite programme Berkeley Foundation .
One session the Street Elite participants visited Berkeley Group Plc Homes’ Oval Village site, exploring various construction roles. They received a comprehensive tour and learned about career paths in the industry. The highlight was a hands-on bricklaying session with Lee Marley, where participants built their own walls, gaining practical experience and confidence.
The other session the Street Elite participants visited Berkeley Group, Green Quarter site and park side yard, where Jags Sanghera (Head of Community Engagement at Berkeley St Joseph) gave a site tour. Young people also had the opportunity to explore the newly opened marketing suite and learned about the office-based roles involved in selling and marketing properties.
Both visit provided valuable insights into the real estate industry, enhancing their understanding of various career paths and skill development, showcasing Street Elite’s commitment to employability.
