Earlier this year we were approached by Mike Fairbairn of Hitstamp Productions. Mike is an NHS Mental Health nurse and a talented song writer.
Mike has written and released “Waiting For That Day”; an England football song set to cause a stir ahead of the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup. The song is released under Mike’s stage name DeeCeeDee. Have a listen on SPOTIFY now!
Ahead of the anticipated song release, Mike reached out to The Change Foundation having heard of our work and has generously agreed to donate half of the song’s profits to our new ‘Let’s Talk Football’ campaign.
“Let’s Talk Football” uses football to encourage young people to engage in conversations around mental health and combat the stigma of mental health before it develops. ‘Let’s Talk Football’ will also deliver free training and teaching materials to teachers and sports facilitators.
